Ben Miranda

ALCM, BSc, MBBS(Lond), MRCS(Eng), FRCS(Plast), Dipl. Hand. Surg., PhD Ben is a Plastic Surgeon who undertook his specialty training in London. He was previously a Research Registrar at the Plastic Surgery & Burns Research Unit, University of Bradford. Here he participated in the fundraising appeal for the Unit’s 25th anniversary in 2010, where over £100,000 was raised for future research. His interest in hair follicle biology & growth control led him to complete a PhD, with aspects of his work having been front cover published in the British Journal of Dermatology and recently published in FASEB. Having graduated from the Royal Free & University College Hospital School of Medicine (London) in 2004, he has now won 15 academic prizes & awards, primarily at postgraduate level. He has over 40 published journal papers, features & books, and over 50 international / national presentations at high-end conferences. Ben’s clinical subspecialty interest within Plastic Surgery is as a Hand Surgeon and his educational interests include establishing DrExam as a leading UK provider of postgraduate surgical education.
